Whilst cleaning my HS Infinity earlier I found the needle was bent!
Whilst faffing on the last project I got a little too close without the tip-guard on, but don't remember doing any damage?! Totally gutted. I have tried to repair/straighten it so we'll see how it goes... It is currently 4.50am and I haven't slept since I woke up yesterday at 9am! Having a 5 day old baby in the house is certainly taking its toll on my beauty sleep! Fortunately I am pretty hot so it's not a huge problem!
On a more serious note, more of this site has now been updated. zzzzzz zzzzzzzz Well, the addition of our new family member has meant there only seems to be only one person getting any sleep...and it isn't me or my wife!
It has meant that I have been able to spend some much needed time updating information on here. It's still a work in progress, but I have another 10 days of paternity leave and some late nights to get finished! Congratulations to my wonderful wife, who yesterday gave birth to our gorgeous son. She did tremendously well during the 13 hours she spent in labour, and now, just 24 hours after the birth we are all home and doing well.
I doubt much painting will be carried out over the next couple of weeks whilst we care for our son and fall into some sort of routine, but it does give me an ideal opportunity to update the older stuff on here. I'm sure when this was invented, airbrushers' weren't really considered as the primary audience of end users?!!
It's pretty cool and I can see how pencil artists would benefit, and those using watercolours etc, but the results I got weren't anything to be overly thrilled about! Check out Harley's hair. (Hopefully its isn't terminal and I can rescue what I've done? I must learn to go easy with black paint! I must learn to go easy with black paint! I must learn to go.......
I think schools had it right! Writing these lines a few hundred times would be apt punishment for my heavy-handedness!! Look! More time spent on Harley and almost finished(?).
I faff! Used Frisket Film and tidied edges, added more colour to the red and made shadows deeper. I also messed up in a couple of places and blacked out the shadow under her arm, which now looks odd! I seem to make things hard for myself!?! I managed to get 2 hours in the afternoon today and 3 hours in the evening and made some good progress! Harley clicky
I got to use a new solvent based paint which is from the Mipa Mixing Scheme. I got a few colours from a local supplier Chris, of C & K Automotives, who's just in the process of setting up a website - I'll post a link once he goes live. Chris has been great to deal with and answered so many of my stupid questions - he's a star and I highly recommend his services! Thanks Chris. |
