CREATEX
The paints I began with.
I did limited research after getting the airbrush/compressor kit and found these to be highly recommended on a number of websites.
They are good to use but are aimed at textile applications (hence the name) and don't adhere to smooth surfaces that well once dried.

AUTO AIR COLORS
I soon realised the Createx paints aren't really suitable for my needs and replaced them with these.
Great for working on paper with, but tricky on smooth/shiny surfaces. The dark colours seem to be easier to control than the lights, and, maybe it's just me but they cover better?
There is a huge range of these paints available and easy enough to get a hold of here in the UK. I have transparents, candies and opaques, but have recently bought the 'Hot Rod Sparkle White' and am trying (in vain) to find something to paint with it!!! (I may take the rear hugger off my motorbike and see what I can do?)

COM ART
Just bought these so haven't yet had chance to experiment with them. They are raved about as being one of the best paints to learn airbrushing with. Apparently they don't clog (as often?) and can be used straight from the bottle, so no time wasted trying to get the correct dilution (like I do!).
They sound perfect for fine detail. Watch this space.

MEDEA TEXTILE COLOURS
I got these in one of the COM ART sets I got today so again, I haven't had chance to use them yet. I don't know a great deal about them other than that they're acrylic, can be heat set (must for textiles) and can be used on many surfaces.
Another 'watch this space' I'm afraid.
