AIRBRUSH - Original kit
PAINT - Createx
PRESSURE - 30 - 50 psi
Okay, so not a real angel, but my wife who is as close as I'll get!
This took all of about 45 minutes so unfortunately I didn't take any pictures before it was finished.
It was one of my first proper attempts at creating something half decent with an airbrush.
I am always surprised about how simple a picture can really be if basic laws are adhered to: light and shadow. A picture can be given real depth and life if realistic highlights and shadow are placed in the right place! The picture below isn't perfect I know, but I think the light on the nails and the eyes, plus the shadow from the nose and fingers add a depth. The highlights in the eyes add life to the face, and I remember just before I put them in how lifeless it looked.
As with all the projects I do, I learn something each and every time and hopefully this 'diary' will show that quite obviously.
