AIRBRUSH - Iwata SAR & Iwata BCR & Air gun
PAINT - Auto Air candy & semi-opaque
PRESSURE - 30 - 50 psi
As one of my future goals is to paint motorcycles and crash helmets (to name but a few) I thought that I should practice on my own bike! Not wanting to ruin it, I bought a used panel from eBay, and got cracking.
I had no real idea of the exact design and just made it up as I went along! I did want bright and I wanted sparkle!! The rest was open to change!

This is based on an old helmet I had in the garage - a Caberg Justissimo. It's in good condition, and all the lining is removable so can be washed. I took this out and began cleaning the shell. It was matt black, which is a complete pain to sand smooth. It took lots of time (and I may even have discovered a few new swear words!)
One of the first bigger projects I tried.
More practice than perfect!
(Please bear with me - I'm going to try and get all parts of this project on one page, which is turning out quite fiddly)
